Raiders Charity Trivia Night – Thursday 26 October 2017

As with anything to do with rugby league games online, we like to do things differently.

So instead of a regular trivia night where everyone turns up to the same venue, we’ve done our version too.

Since Raiders fans including myself are all located in different cities and towns around Australia we are hosting a series of online trivia games.

When: Thursday 26 October 2017

Time: 8:30pm – 8:50pm

What do you need to play?

Just a Smartphone or computer. On the day of each event we will send you a link to access the game. As long as you are connected to the Internet at the time of each event you can join the fun.

How does the game work?

You’ll need to register your interest by purchasing an entry for $10. $5 of this entry goes to charity and the other $5 goes towards the prize pool. More on that below.

On the night, click the link a few minutes prior to the start time from the email we send you, enter your nickname and wait until the first question appears. You’ll see a screen as shown down below and you click your answer and then submit answer.

You have a maximum of 30 seconds to select each answer. The scoring works as below:

There will be four categories of ten questions each:

  1. 1980’s Raiders
  2. 1990’s Raiders
  3. 2000’s Raiders
  4. 2010’s Raiders

How long does it go for?

It will go for 20 minutes total. There will be 40 questions total with 30 seconds for each question.

How much does it cost?

$10 entry per quiz. $5 of the entry fees will go towards prizes and the other $5 will go to charity. So we thank you in advance for your support.

What are the prizes?

The prizes themselves will be based on how many entries we receive for each game. This is a rough estimation:

  • 10 entries – $50 gift voucher for 1st prize
  • 20 entries – $60 gift voucher for 1st prize and $40 gift voucher for 2nd
  • 30 entries – $100 gift voucher for 1st prize, $50 gift voucher for 2nd
  • 40 entries – $120 gift voucher for 1st prize, $60 gift voucher for 2nd and $20 gift voucher for 3rd
  • 50 entries – $150 gift voucher for 1st prize, $70 for 2nd and $30 for 3rd

Who are we raising money for?

We’re supporting Robbie Dolan from The Longest Try. During the Rugby League World Cup he is going to be running from Melbourne to Brisbane over 42 days. That’s 1,800km!!! That equates to a marathon each day. Incredible effort from the Brit. He is raising money for Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity, Miracle Babies Foundation of Australia and the Children’s Tumour Foundation of Australia.

Are there other events?

Below is a list of upcoming events. Remember you need to purchase a ticket to enter in each event. After all this is about raising funds for some great charities.
