Round 25 Dream Teams

Dream Teams

Round 25 Dream Team:

It’s always good to see NSW Cup players stand up and be counted when playing first grade. So it was fantastic to see Robbie Farah equal top score for the week with 17 points. It was his biggest total since he scored 18 in Round 6 last season on the back of 81 points in the first six rounds last year. This year has been a different story and as the Workhorse Watcher stated last week, he is no longer a “must have” in NRLCEO.

The other equal top point scorer was Ben Hunt who scored a fantastic hat-trick as the Broncos tore the Rabbits a new one. His 17 came from three tries, two try assists and a line break. It takes his season total to a very respectable 95.

There were two other hat-trick heroes this week and both of them play on the Roosters flanks. Brendan Elliott showed his potential value if he gets a starting spot next year scoring three tries this week to take his career total to eight tries in eight games. His opposite winger Daniel Tupou also scored a hat-trick taking his season total to 16 tries and 86 NRLCEO points.

There were also two double workhorses. The first was young Dogs rake Damien Cook who has proven to be the late NRLCEO pickup of the year! He scored for the second week in a row and just acquired the numbers needed for a DWH. The other was James Segeyaro who is a special to score against the Raiders every time (having now scored in his last three matches against them and four tries in his last six against the Green Machine). After missing seven games this season he still managed to break the century and currently sits on 102 points.

Overall Dream Team:

We have a new NRLCEO Most Valuable Player! Semi Radradra is back on top of the scoring. Incredibly he has scored 22 tries in just 17 games this year for a total of 126 points.

In the halves, Anthony Milford has kicked out James Maloney after his one week stay in the #6 and in the process has broken the magical 100 point barrier. His stats are beautifully spread through 11 tries, 15 try assists, 13 line breaks and 17 line break assists. Throw in two field goals for good measure too.

Remarkably Andrew Fifita is still in the side despite not playing for five weeks now. Kade Snowden has now joined him on 94 points though and has the opportunity to pip him into the overall Dream Team for the year if he scored just one point this round.

So with one round to go we could still see a host of player top the overall scoring this year. Our Dream Team only relates to the regular season (26 rounds). Shaun Fensom (123) sits just behind Semi Radradra (126) and Andrew McCullough (123). Curtis Rona (120) could also take the title.  It’s anyone’s guess!

Here is the full overall NRLCEO Dream Team:

1. James Tedesco (116)

2. Curtis Rona (120)

3. James Roberts (91)

4. Dylan Walker (79)

5. Semi Radradra (126)

6. Anthony Milford (106)

7. Johnathan Thurston (97)

8. Jesse Bromwich (97)

9. Andrew McCullough (123)

10. Andrew Fifita/Kade Snowden (94)

11. Bodene Thompson (108)

12. Simon Mannering (107)

13. Shaun Fensom (123)
