Lichaa in on a little smokey…

Lichaa

Week 3… How is your team looking? Have you still got the cattle in the shed?  Or are you already looking around for the next big thing?

Rocks and diamonds from Luke Brooks so far.  If he’s not in your team at the moment, don’t over react and pick up Holden Cup eligible half back Luke Brooks. Young half backs are risky to pick up and the Wests Tigers don’t exactly have to forward pack to rely on.  I expect him to have some good weeks and bad weeks.
At the Sharks, Michael Lichaa remains on the bench. After signing a new contract from 2015 with the Bulldogs, it’s tough to know how much game time he will get.  If you’re looking to take a gamble on a young hooker perhaps you should wait until he has some weapons at his disposal and some minutes under his belt. Lichaa didn’t look completely hopeless in what was a pathetic performance by the side as a whole.
Unfortunately Jake Mamo didn’t get a run for the Knights and instead former Bulldogs NYC halfback and cousin of Scott, Matt Minto played at fullback.
A surprise packet Tupou Sopoaga, a former Bulldogs NYC star of 2011 and 2012 racked up 55 involvements in just his 4th NRL appearance.  He has now been snapped up in the majority of competitions, so be quick.
As we continue Moses Mbye watch we notice he hasn’t moved from the 18th man position. Rivetting stuff!
On a sadder note, the 2008 NYC Player of the Year Jharal Yow Yeh was forced to retire from rugby league this week after some of the nastiest injury setbacks of recent years.  Yow Yeh was a shining example of a player making the move from 20’s to First Grade and then onto rep honours.  The Broncos will honour him by resting the #5 jersey this weekend.
