The perfect replacement for DWZ

Jake Mamo

We have a little bit to get to this week but I would like to start with an apology.

I recommended Dallin Watene-Zelezniak a fair bit and well, he is back in reserve grade. DWZ has a first grade career ahead of him. He could see some NRL again, but you obviously have to trade him out now that Simmons is back so keep reading for a good trade.

David Fusitua didn’t score a point last week in a losing side. I can’t not see things getting much better for him in the short term. I’m still in the lets wait and see column for Fusitua.

Kirisome Auva’a has five points after two games in First Grade.  Last week he scored zero in a low scoring game but I still think he has some job security hold if you have him. The same goes for Apisai Koroisau despite the poor week, don’t get too worried, hold on to him for now.  His injury last round lost him minutes, but he still has the run on Cameron McInnes.

IPauli Pauli suggested getting on Pauli Pauli (pictured above) after we saw how he performed over a few weeks. Well he is now in the starting side, so if you have a spare bench spot for a power forward – get on him! I have a spare spot on my roster so I’ll be picking up Pauli squared.  After 23 involvements in 49 minutes last round he certainly doesn’t look like being a workhorse, but he’s a dead set beast!

Now saving the best for last, Jake Mamo, who has been the most exciting player in the Holden Cup so far this year. Mamo was a late inclusion into the NRL side this week and got some good running metres without any tries. Mamo looks a star at 20’s level, maybe a bit small for the NRL right now though. He’s playing fullback in the Holden Cup this year but has played wing previously. He’s an exciting prospect but a risky trade, but I’m leaning towards grabbing him as a great replacement for DWZ.

Oh I forgot to mention, Moses Mbye collects another #19 jersey.
