With our partner site the TheBench now open for the next NRLCEO season, it is time to start to get your own Competition ready.  If you have never played NRLCEO before then you should join here.

If you are a returning user, then things are much easier. But if you’re not sure how to setup your competition again, this article will give you the run down.

Step 1: Reset

As a Competition Manager, the first thing to do is go to the “Competition Edit” page and click one of the two “Reset” links on the left hand side menu.

You can find the Competition Edit page from your Profile page.  Find your Profile page from the drop down menu at the top right of each page.  Choose the “My Profile” link.

On the Profile page you will have a list of all the Clubs, Competitions and Leagues you manage.  Find the Competition you want to reset and click the link to open the “Competition Edit” page.

Keeper style Competitions:

If you are running a keeper style Competition, that is where you keep some of your squad from the previous season, use the “Reset and Keep Squads” link from the left hand side menu.  This will reset your Competition but will not delete all the Players from all of the Clubs Squads.

Standard style Competitions:

If you are running a standard style Competition, where you start your draft with empty Squads. Use the “Reset Everything (Delete Squads)” link.

Step 2: Update the Clubs

The next thing to do is to run through the Clubs in your Competition and adjust as needed.  This might mean deleting any relegated Clubs and adding any promoted Clubs.

You can add and delete Clubs by clicking the “View Clubs” link on the Competition Edit page.

Step 3: Draft Priorities

When you reset your Competition, the draft priorities are automatically set by random.  The order the Clubs are shown on the ladder and on the “View Clubs” page is in their draft priority.

If you want to edit the draft priority, use the
“up arrow” to push a Club up the list on the “View Clubs” page.

Step 4: Start your Draft

That’s about it, you are now ready to start your draft.  You can start your draft from the “Competition Edit” page by clicking on the “Start Draft” link in the left hand side menu.
