Round 22 Dream Teams

Player of the Week

One of the more surprising Player of the Week entries of all time in NRLCEO. Manu Ma’u has always been a pretty consistent workhorse back rower, but he had only scored double figures in NRLCEO six time in the past six years. This was his best performance ever. He had his hand in everything. A try, two try assists, line break, line break assist, metre eater and workhorse.

Round 22 Team of the Week

A big win for the Knights puts four of their stars into the Team of the Week.

Well done to rookies Brian To’o, Kotoni Staggs and Bronson Xerri for their places in the team as well.

Overall Dream Team

For the first time that I can recall this year, the overall Dream Team has not changed at all this week. Their scores have sky rocketed, but the side remains the same.

James Tedesco passed 150 NRLCEO for the second time in his career but has three matches to go to build on it. He scored 158 points way back in 2015 through 17 tries, 13 try assists and 17 metre eaters. He’s down on tries (13) so far this year but has a massive 24 metre eaters to build up his tally nicely.

In his rookie season, Bronson Xerri has passed 100 NRLCEO points which is a magificent result for a centre. It’s even better when you consider he only debuted in Round 4. He has four double digit scores and 12 tries and 16 metre eaters. Definitely one to watch for the future.

The Roosters giant Daniel Tupou has finally fulfilled his potential to pass 100 NRLCEO points for the first time in his career. He got very close with 98 points in 2015 through 16 tries. He has 13 so far this year on the back of a magnificent Roosters backline and now jumping for Cooper Cronk’s perfect cross field kicks.
