Captains Call – Dream Team n No Donuts Club
The NRLCEO Captains Dream Team for the season has been formed. To be eligible you have to also be a member of the No Donuts Club which we will get to shortly (basically score at least a point every round you play). The team is based upon average and total points scored. The players average score can be found in the brackets instead of their overall score.
While the team may not look overly different to the regular Dream Team there are a few notable changes. Tom and Jake Trbojevic get called up into the side replacing Kevin Naiqama and Zeb Taia. Player of the week Cameron McInnes gets the boot for old reliable Cam Smith. Will Hopoate replaces Solomone Kata and Broncos teammate Ben Hunt joins Anthony Milford in the halves over Moses Mbye.
No Donuts Club
After 5 rounds of NRLCEO we see the number of players being able to consistently score drop rapidly bringing out the No Donuts Club. The No Donuts Club membership requires scoring at least a point per game, not being injured for the season, not being dropped for longer than 5 consecutive games. Membership will be put on hold if a player is injured for an extended period and players missing the beginning of the season due to suspension or injury will be eligible upon returning. Players being moved up or replacing injured/ suspended players will be eligible until they no longer meet the criteria.
The club to date has 52 members, 28 backs and 24 forwards. While this may seem to favour the backs at present 15 forwards have played every game to date compared to 16 backs. Of the 24 forwards in the club a total of 20 games have been missed between them compared to 35 for the backs.
The backs are evenly spread accounting for duel positions with 7 half backs, 2 five eights, 9 centres, 10 wingers and 5 fullbacks. James Tedesco is still by far the best captain around averaging 11 points per game, with a low of 2 he is still the number 1 captain choice.
The forwards are a little more spread with the majority being hookers at 10, followed by back rows at #9 and #5 front rows again accounting for duel positions. James Graham and Ethan Lowe emerge as the front runners for best choice on 8, while tied with Craig Garvey who should drop out soon with the return of Michael Lichaa who is also in the team. While filled with hookers 4 of them play for 2 teams which will see Isaac De Gois dropped out soon with the return of Nathan Peats along with Garvey.

Of the 10 players to grace the top this week 8 of the scored 2 tries excluding Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and Matt Parcell.
