Round 16 Dream Team

Rd 16 DT

An evenly contested round of footy this week with three games finishing withing two points of each other.

It also wasn’t a week for very high NRLCEO scores either. Paul Gallen finished as the player of the week with 13 points in total. It came from a try and a MASSIVE double workhorse of 67 involvements and 223 metres. A supreme effort from the big fella who has unfortunately played far too few games of footy this year.

His mate Todd Carney has also made possibly his last ever Dream Team. In hindsight we now know that he might have “pissed” his career away, but in what was possible his last ever NRL game he scored 12 points through a try, three try assists, line break and line break assist. Do you think we’ll ever see him in NRLCEO again?

Lastly, it’s worth mentioning the efforts of David Hala. The big front rower from the Broncos scored just his second batch of NRLCEO points in the last two seasons with a two try effort. What a way to come back! His last points were from a try assist in Round 12, 2013.

He is a former Bears, now Raiders tragic. A rangy lock who avoided running the ball at all costs, he once tackled (flopped on) John Hopoate. Web geek by day, web geek by night.
